Greetings Brother Sir Knights!
I hope that your Easter Season is filled with promise and peace. With Ken Kaphammer’s passing in the forefront of my mind, it is impossible not to think of the stark reality of that Easter Promise – the promise of a life everlasting in God’s loving presence. I also think of Ken’s commitment as a Sir Knight – how he could be counted on to share his time and talent for the good of the Assembly. I recall how in recent years there was nary an event when Ken would not be present, camera in hand, photographing the proceedings. I hope that we always keep Ken in our thoughts and honor him with our own commitment. Rest in Peace, Ken.
The final quarter of our year begins. Please make an effort to participate in all the events offered over the coming months. Stay plugged in by attending the meetings, reading and acting on the emails, and rallying people – especially to the Communion Breakfast. Let’s make these final months impactful!
Here are some events that you should plan on attending and rallying your Brothers to!!
• Tuesday, April 24th at 8pm – April Business Meeting in Westwood. We will be voting on the Slate of Officers from the Nominating Committee and also taking nominations from the Floor. Please be present and help shape the future of our Assembly! Liaisons - organize a car pool. There are Sir Knights who may have problems driving at night but would like to attend the meetings. Helps them by giving them a ride. That is being impactful!
• Sunday, April 22 – 4th Degree Exemplification. The day is set. All forms have been submitted. I look forward to our new Sir Knights joining our Assembly. Keep them in your prayers. That too, is being impactful!
• Sunday, June 24 at 9:30am – Joseph F. Lamb Assembly Annual Communion Breakfast. The details for our Communion Breakfast are set! Fr. Ray will celebrate 9:30 Mass at Our Lady of Good Council Church (Washington Twp). We will then adjourn to the Washington Twp Hall for the Communion Breakfast (11am – 1pm). This event can be an important fundraising event for our Assembly; but that is only true if we get a big turn-out. So be actively rallying Brothers and Guests NOW! Liaisons – please get a Gift Basket from your Council to donate to our Tricky Tray Raffle. Be impactful!
